The Number's Game in Sales & Marketing
Happy New Year to you all!
I hope you all had a great Christmas and enjoyed your New Year celebrations. I read a few posts on Social Media regarding not looking forward to going back to work. I sincerely hope that the posts were referring to the JOB you are currently doing and not the fun work I am in which is network marketing business. So let's start this new year and whatever we did last year, look back, reflect and double the efforts from what we did in 2015 and we should achieve double the result in 2016. All we need is these two fun words:
BELIEF + FAITH
SUCCESS IN OUR BUSINESS:
There is never a secret, special skill or talent to achieve success in 'Sales & Marketing'. It has always been the same from whenever we started in selling. To achieve success it is just a simple 'number's game'. Please put your hand on your heart and ask yourself if at any stage you are not satisfied what you have achieved, you will find that it always comes back to an answer that you never talk to or meet up with enough people. Connecting and putting people in front of us is the only way to achieve a sale, which leads to success. So just simply focus on the numbers daily, weekly and monthly.
When you see enough numbers on a regular basis, believe me, some magic will happen to you, it is called 'LUCK'. The 'LUCK' will and can count towards a big percentage of your achievement or income against your goal. Usually when you are doing the numbers, when 'LUCK' comes, it will result in as much as 40% of the numbers. But you will never come across 'LUCK' without doing the numbers first!
Like you are looking for the 4 Aces in a pack of 52 playing cards. You have to keep turning over the cards until you reach the Ace and you know they are there. It is not if, but when; as long as you keep turning the cards. Right?
Therefore, the 'Belief and Faith' will play a big part of our daily success. Why do I call it a daily success? Because we must not keep looking at the end success picture. As long as we know our goals and have planned them well within the time line, thereafter we just have to do it one small chunk at a time and do it daily, weekly, monthly as regular and correctly as we can. The compound effect from what we are doing regularly will become a habit. Like anything, tasks are always a pain for us, but once it becomes a habit, it will feel easier with no pain at all. Therefore, don't get too bogged down with any fancy marketing plans and ideas just focus more on connecting and seeing numbers of people on a regular basis. The rest will come through your 'BELIEF AND FAITH'!
OK, if this is all making sense to you, then you must prepare, plan and set your own goals first by yourself, then share with your upline / mentor for final adjustment. Follow on by telling others who are important in your life about your goals (this is an important part because once you said it, there is no going back), thereafter ACTION.........there is no point to set goals without action! Write down your goals and create your 'Dream Board' so that you can visualise it regularly. Once again you have to trust your 'BELIEF AND FAITH' because once you wrote down your goals, it will be yours soon or later! Most of the goals without written down can only be just a dream.
MARKETING AND PROSPECTING FOR PRODUCTS SALES AND TEAM MEMBERS:
If we can target ourselves to connect and talk to an average of 2 people a day, this will be a very good start. Remember, whoever we connect and speak to, we are looking for these 3 kinds of people:
1) Products users - they like to use the products, but are not interested in selling products or building a business with a team
2) Products sales person - they like to use the products, and they like to sell products to others to earn some income like we do.
3) Partners - they like to use the products, and they like to sell products to others to earn some income like we do. Furthermore, they like to build their business by building a network of team members like we do for their financial freedom.
As soon as we have identified who they are and positioned them in the right place, then just focus and help them to achieve one, two or all three of above areas and keep it simple.
